From the reviews

Toured as a potential wedding venue recently, the first time I've been to the Majors house in over ten years. The nonprofit that manages the property does as much as they can to keep costs reasonable, and all of the venue cost supports the nonprofit.

This venue was amazing it had the space needed and helped me find a wedding planner. Beautiful and historic great for my wedding! Only thing is they made me pay for a police officer that they would provide but they never did this. Also they don’t really give you enough time for what you pay for.

I was the DJ for several events here, great space! Friendly staff, great location. Such a nice change from the typical spots people pick for weddings. Highly recommend it.

This place was really cool. We were there for our daughter's wedding. It was a great venue with plenty of space for serving, eating and dancing. Bathrooms should be more spacious for the amount of people this place can host, but otherwise, it was a great venue.

Getting married at Alexander Majors Historic Museum & Barn

Alexander Majors Historic Museum & Barn comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
