I've photographed many weddings in Door County and About Thyme Farm is one of my absolute favorite locations. It's so peaceful set back on a quiet country road, beautifully maintained and has a phenomenal friendly staff. It's the perfect Midwest destination wedding location for an intimate relaxed gathering.
Happy that Door County Wine Fest was hosted here due to the fact it rained all day & patrons had the barn cover and a few pop up tents to stay dry. Must be a beautiful location for weddings!
This is one of the easiest reviews we have ever written. The venue is beautiful, and there is so much space to use. The barn is incredible in it's original state, but there is plenty of power for your DJ. The options are endless for indoor/outdoor ceremonies, cocktail hours and receptions.
We loved having our wedding at About Thyme Farm! We never thought we'd pick a barn venue for our wedding but the property is so stunning we knew it was our venue right away. Lucas was the best to work with - professional but easy-going and made our lives much easier when it came to little details we were unsure about.

First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
