Stunning venue with incredible service! We chose Eighteen Ninety because the venue was a one-stop shop for our entire day, from getting ready to the reception, and each space was amazing on its own. Eighteen Ninety is the BEST venue in the KC metro if you’re looking for a venue that has it ALL! I researched almost 30 venues and the second I toured 1890, I knew I had to get married there.
Speaking as a wedding photographer who works at many many venues, this is one of my absolute FAVORITE places! The whole venue is gorgeous and has beautiful wildflowers at certain points during the year (these photos were from August). Also, the dreamiest view of the sunset.
I had my wedding at The Fields. First off, I want to say Paula is absolutely amazing and the sweetest. She's so easy to communicate with and has always been quick with response. Meeting her for the first time, I knew I wanted to have my wedding at her venue she never tried to sell me on why she's the best.
Getting married at 1890 & The Fields Event Space
1890 & The Fields Event Space comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see it at the time of day you'd actually get married — a barn that glows at golden hour can feel very different at noon, and you'll want to walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move?), the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included with the rental — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular dates at barn venues book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
